Late Summer (2024)

Linoleum relief on handmade recycled paper, 8” x 10”

Printed on paper made of recycled menus from the artist’s restaurant job, the print depicts a personal perspective from behind the host stand. This series is a love letter to the often overlooked moments of youth. The quiet yet formative days of summer jobs, hot July afternoons, and the awkward, transitional years of young adulthood. Within slow southern summers, the artist finds a sense of gratitude for the beauty that often resides in waiting.
